Sydney Jones

Multimedia Sports Reporter & Producer

ABOUT

Sydney Jones is a freelance sports reporter and host with 6+ years of experience.

In her most recent role, Sydney served as the Denver Broncos team reporter and producer (2020-2024). In that role, she acted as the primary liaison between the Broncos fanbase and football team. She held regular interviews with players, coaches, football personnel and the team’s ownership group. She was the on-site reporter for every home and away game, providing pre- and post-game coverage and conducting live reports on the scoreboard for an audience of 100,000+.

Sydney extended beyond her role as team reporter by working closely with the social media team and creating new content series, which she wrote and hosted herself: Broncos Now, the team’s first daily podcast dedicated to covering the club's football updates, Let’s Drive, a sponsored video series interviewing players while driving the club’s official Ford Bronco, and The Snap, a podcast series highlighting women’s impact on the Broncos and the NFL. Sydney also served as a digital content producer, most notably being nominated for a 2023 Emmy Award for her work on Behind the Broncos, a web series highlighting the Broncos’ 2022 head coaching search process.

Sydney began her reporting career in 2019, working for WAOW 9 News in Wisconsin as a weekend sports anchor and reporter, covering the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers athletics, the Milwaukee area pro teams, in addition to local prep sports.

Originally from Daytona Beach, FL., Sydney attended the University of Florida, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunications with an outside concentration in sports management. She is currently based in Florida and is open to relocation.
